visit from yum-yum

My mom started out "dum-dum" as in "I uv u dum-dum" on the phone on Thanksgiving and after a quick weekend visit, her name has morphed into "yum-yum". Somehow I think that the M&M bribes have something to do with the pronunciation of grandma. LOL!

Why the new blog?

After a pretty long blogging sabbatical (a little over a year), I've decided that I miss blogging. I also decided that due to some life changing events over the past year, that instead of dusting off the old blog, a sparkling new blog with a new title was in order.

We left Florida in October for the mountainous terrain and the beautiful autumn of Roanoke, VA.
I HAVE missed fall!
School in the Sun seems like a strange name for a blog coming from the City under the Star, thus "Following Yonder Star" is born.

I hope to be updating with photos and stories of our life here.
